Scenario 1 - Oliver the History teacher

This week-end, we go out. That's what Oliver and his wife Regina decided this week, after an old friend of Oliver, Jimmy, gave them a call.
The married couple discussed about various activities for the week-end. Since the weather forecast is pretty good, they first considered going to Tyresta Nationalparken. It's mushroom season, they could enjoy a whole day around the lakes picking funnel chanterelles and penny buns. But Jimmy sprained ankle two weeks ago and was quite reluctant to walk around for a long time. He would prefer indoor activities, like museums or sightseeing. Oliver recalled that he had an annual membership at Fotografiska. He proposed Jimmy, who was in immediately. His daughter Elaine would probably enjoy the visit and playing with Oliver's daughter Emma. They agreed to meet around the entrance on Sunday around 2:00 pm. after lunch.

This is now Sunday morning. Oliver checks the website. The current expos turn out to be not as well adapted to kids as he thought, but the two girls would probably find out a way to enjoy their visit anyway. Also, they have free entrance.
He realizes he hasn't told Emma about the visit yet, so he goes in the living room where she enjoys her daily dose of cartoons on Channel6. "This morning we're taking a walk in the city with Mum, have you seen how shiny the sun is today?", all Oliver gets is Emma's typical no-motivation "Yes", not even bothering to turn head. "Then we'll meet Jimmy and Elaine and have lunch together. They're those with whom we went to the zoo last time, remember Elaine?" Emma suddenly pays more attention to her father, stands up, and starts jumping with excitement on the couch.

After their morning walk, the two families meet in front of Fotografiska and start their visit. Oliver understands that the expo of the ground floor is about naked people, so he tells Jimmy and they skip this part at once. The two daughters quite don't understand why they have been brought in these dark and silent rooms, they would like to run around and play together but their daddies seem quite annoyed with them making any noise. Despite three attempts from Oliver to make Emma look at the pictures and enjoy them, she can't focus and he gives up. The girls end up sitting in the chairs and chatting in whispers, waiting for their parents to look at all the pictures. After a while they start to be really agitated. Oliver thinks it is enough for the girls and they all head towards the café on the upper floor. Emma and Elaine can talk loudly again. Jimmy gives Elaine her new iPad and the girls play Doodle Jump while the parents drink coffee, until they leave.

It is now 5:00 pm. Oliver and Regina discuss about the museum on the way home. They enjoyed the expos pretty much, especially the one on Amazonian forest and savannah landscapes. However, they will definitely not go there again with Emma, not until she is at least 14. Next time they will definitely take Emma to Tyresta or to any outdoor activity instead.
